Using Help

Use this program to quickly answer your questions about the eMEDIX Online product. There are several ways to find information. Online help is best viewed using Firefox or Internet Explorer.

The Contents pane contains the grid of contents for the online Help. It consists of books that represent categories of information and pages that display the topic of information.

To use the grid of contents:

Click Contents to view the grid of contents.
Click a closed book to view the book's contents (sub-books and pages).
Click a page to display the topic information. The topic appears in the right-hand pane.
Click the open book to close it.

Expanding Text

Throughout the help system, you have the ability to view more detailed descriptions or expanded definitions of items embedded in a paragraph. This is known as expanding text and is displayed in light bluelight blueThis is an example of expanding text. . Click on the text to expand a drop-down explanation of that topic. Click an expanding text field in a topic and then click the Expand/Collapse All button in the upper right corner to expand and collapse all expanding text in that topic.

Hyperlinks

This online help system may contain links that connect you to additional information. As a general rule, try moving the cursor over them to see if the pointer changes to a pointing finger. If so, there is more information included behind the link.

Image Maps

This online help system may contain image maps attached to certain images within a help topic. Image maps are links to topics specific to a section of the image. Hover your mouse over an image and look for the hand symbol - any time you see this symbol, click to view the help topic.
