Occurrence Codes are used to define significant events relating to the bill that may affect payer processing. The codes supply information related to the delivery of health care, such as the date, amount, and quantity of a product or service provided.
Occurrence Span codes identify an event that relates to payment of the claim. This event occurs over a span of days.
The Occurrence Codes fields are defined below:
Auto Accident StateAuto Accident State
Two-letter state or province code in which the accident occurred. Use state postal code.
The code that identifies an event that relates to the payment of the claim. Click (+) to add more code fields. Up to 24 codes may be added.
That date of the occurrence code.
